Information we collect

• Account information — name, email, phone, and role when you create an account.
• Business information — details you submit for a business profile, including license and insurance documents.
• Usage information — searches performed (stored with a hashed, non-reversible identifier rather than your IP address) and contact-button clicks, used to improve results.

How we use it

To operate the directory, review verification submissions, send account and expiration notifications, prevent abuse, and improve search quality. We do not sell your personal information or sell your project details as "leads."

Documents

License and insurance documents are stored privately and are accessible only to the business that uploaded them and our review team. Public pages show only the verification status, never the documents.

Your choices

You can update or delete your account information at any time from your dashboard, or contact us at support@knownpros.com to request deletion of your data.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we have not done so in the preceding 12 months. California residents have the right to know what personal information we hold, request its deletion, correct inaccuracies, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To exercise any of these rights, email support@knownpros.com with the subject "Privacy request" — we respond within 45 days and will verify your identity before acting on the request.

Email preferences

Transactional emails (quotes on your job requests, account notices) are part of using the service. Business-facing notifications such as lead invitations include an opt-out — reply to the email or contact us and we'll stop sending them.

Children

The service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
