Why we built this

Nearly every contractor horror story starts the same way: nobody checked the paperwork. The license had lapsed, the insurance didn't exist, the "local" crew was from three states away and gone by the time the problem surfaced. The frustrating part is that in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, most of these records are public — the information was always there; it was just scattered and hard to check at the moment you needed it. We pulled it into one place and put it next to the businesses it belongs to.

Our verification standard — and its limits

We believe trust signals are worthless if they overpromise. So we're precise about what our badges mean: "License Verified" means we reviewed license information the business submitted; "Insurance on File" means we've seen a current certificate; "Claimed" means the owner proved they control the profile. What a badge never means is a guarantee of good work — that depends on the job, and records can change after we review them. We always tell you to confirm credentials independently before hiring.
